Sean McGuire
Sean is local to the West Chester area where he grew up and attended Bishop Shanahan High School. Sean graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Temple University in 2015. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2018, where he was the recipient of the Physical Therapy Faculty Award. He also completed his research project looking at the impacts of backward walking training on balance and falls risk in older adults. Following the completion of his DPT degree he completed a one-year comprehensive residency program at the University of Delaware to further specialize in the area of sports physical therapy. Sean joined Optimum in August 2019. His areas of interest include rehabilitation of various knee pain/injuries, as well as post-concussive symptoms. Sean also has an interest in strength and conditioning programming bridging the gap between PT and general wellness programs for all ages.
Sean is a certified clinical instructor through the APTA, and is pursuing board certification in sports physical therapy
