Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist
Sean, a board-certified specialist in sports physical therapy, joined Optimum in August 2019. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Temple University in 2015. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2018, where he was the recipient of the Physical Therapy Faculty Award. He also completed research in looking at the impacts of backward walking training on balance and falls risk in older adults.
Following the completion of his DPT degree he completed a one-year comprehensive residency program at the University of Delaware to further specialize in the area of sports physical therapy, and had the opportunity to work with athletes of all ages. His particular areas of interest include rehabilitation of knee pain/injuries, as well as post-operative conditions, and post-concussion symptoms. Sean also has an interest in strength and conditioning programming bridging the gap between PT and general wellness programs to promote exercise for all.
Sean is local to the West Chester area where he grew up and attended Bishop Shanahan High School.
